Jesus Calling: Another Chapter

One of my character flaws, you could say, is trying to achieve perfection. Today's Jesus Calling came to me at the one moment I needed it most! Geez, thanks God!!!(: Remember that your hard work should not be to obtain certain results or recognition, but to honor and praise God for the simple things He has blessed us with. God has blessed us exceedingly if you look around you! We live in a free country, where we can worship Him, we have the privilege (get that, the privilege) to be educated, and He has given us the essentials for everyday life. Most importantly, He has given us His word, and we must act on it! Here are my notes for today's lesson on hoping in the Lord, and putting faith in Him to transform you:

Weakness is not necessarily a bad thing, if we recognize our flaws and invite God to transform and renew us. Our omniscient God is incomprehensibly understanding, because he knows us better than we know ourselves, and He promises us a way out of every temptation that presents itself to us. Through our weaknesses, we should store our hope in the Lord, embracing the fact that He is the Ultimate Provider and Comforter. Our insecurities and self doubt should vanish before God, who loves us unconditionally. Whenever you may feel unworthy, confront God, asking Him for guidance and confidence to cast aside worldly wishes and standards and shine for God, by honoring Him with your best. Lean on Him and find rest, so that you will be free of self pity and depression, and more able to devote your focus in God's will and showing meekness (a servant heart and a humble leader and follower of God) to those around you. Find contentment and hope in the Faithful One, and He will see that your burdens are personally beared on His shoulders, for you!
Let weakness strengthen your dire need for God's peace and reliance!
ABBY(:
